Post often and with campaign details, the more you let your supporters know, the more confident they will be in your cause. Below are some tips we suggest following when trying to build momentum for your campaign.
We encourage that you be responsive to questions and comments. If someone reaches out, make sure you answer them ASAP. If it is something only we can answer, let us know and we will get back to you.
Engage with your supporters.
It’s important to communicate with your audience. Luckily, social media makes it pretty easy to acknowledge that you’ve read, seen, and appreciated their comments. No matter how successful your campaign is, never forget to respond to your supporters. Always remember the following:
- People want to know that their support meant something to you. So comment back! Thank them right away, and make it sincere.
- Depending on the platform, throw your supporter a “like” along with the comment. They’ll appreciate it!
- If someone tweets you about your campaign, favorite their posts! It’s similar to a like, and it shows them you appreciate their involvement in your fundraising efforts.
- Instagram is neat because you can throw them a like with a heart. You’re literally giving a little love. Sometimes, it’s as simple as that!
Announce the totals.
Once your campaign ends let everyone know how it went, after all, they are the reason for the success! Reiterate where the money raised is going, maybe even link to the charity or non-profit you are raising funds for. If you are raising money for yourself, a family member or friend then be sure to mention that!
If you chose to go with a Standard campaign, then you can let your supporters know that Ink to the People is in the process of making their shirts. Let them know that is can take up to 2 weeks (possibly more) for all the shirts to be printed and go out.
If you chose OnDemand then your supporters might already have their shirts!
Don’t know what the heck I’m talking about with this Standard and OnDemand nonsense, then head on over to our article detailing these 2 options: What's the difference between a standard campaign and an on-demand campaign?
Thank your supporters!
A thank you goes a long way. Show your gratitude to the people who stepped up and supported your cause. They will appreciate your sincerity.
