Post on your social media channels more than once throughout the duration of your campaign. A minimum of 3-4 times per week on Facebook and daily on Twitter will keep your campaign in the minds of your social community but be considerate. Posting too much will annoy your audience. If they have contributed, thank them right away!
We encourage that you be responsive to questions and comments. If someone reaches out, make sure you answer them ASAP. If it is something only we can answer, let us know and we will get back to you.
Engage with your supporters.
It’s important to communicate with your audience. Luckily, social media makes it pretty easy to acknowledge that you’ve read, seen, and appreciate their comments. No matter how successful your campaign is, never forget to respond to your supporters. That being said, here’s a few things to remember…
- People want to know that their support meant something to you. So comment back! Thank them right away, and make it sincere.
- Depending on the platform, throw your supporter a “like” along with the comment. They’ll appreciate it!
- If someone tweets you about your campaign, favorite their posts! It’s similar to a like, and it shows them you appreciate their involvement in your fundraising efforts.
- Instagram is neat because you can throw them a like with a heart. You’re literally giving a little love. Sometimes, it’s as simple as that!
Announce the totals.
It’s important to tell your supporters how much your campaign raised for the cause. Remind them that they joined you in making a difference, and mention where the money is going to once more. If you have a standard campaign, let them know that we are now producing their items and that they will be delivered in about 7-10 days. They will receive an email with tracking information when we ship them out.
Thank your supporters!
A thank you goes a long way. Show your gratitude to the people who stepped up and supported your cause. They will appreciate your sincerity.
